MEMBER OF THE YEAR - KAREN CLENDININ
INDUCTED JUNE 1997
Letter for member of the year:
This year's nominee for induction into the Hall Of Fame as the Member of
the Year, has received no special honors for her bowling skills, although
she carries a good average of 160 plus and usually places in the money at
most tournaments she enters. However she is a team member in the truest
sense of the word.
She has served as league officer, a team captain, and a director of the
local association. She can be counted on to complete all tasks she
commits to do, plus is always available to help others whenever asked.
She has helped on this committee for several years by helping the
committee to get the booklet containing this information to all directors
and officers, seeing that the program is printed, designing special
awards certificates, and at one time she was the person that made the
awards that were given to the persons that had high series and high game,
averages and member of the year--those beautiful clocks we used to give.
She has donated door prizes for our "Fun-Day" activities and sponsers
teams in leagues. She participates in all Association events, attends
most meetings of the Association, and helps sell our raffle tickets, and
really is one of those behind the scenes persons who are always ready and
willing to help in whatever way she can. These are the type of persons we
are seeking for the honor of being nominated for induction into the Hall
Of Fame as our Member of the Year.
We hope you approve our selection of Karen Clendenin for this honor this
year---1997
