SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE - VAUNDA (Bates) VILLARREAL
INDUCTED JUNE 18, 1996
This bowler started to bowl in one of the Junior Leagues at the age of 6. She
had a high game score of 160 plus a high series in the 400's that year. As
she grew older she developed her bowling skills and at the age of 12 had a
235 game and a 500 plus series. As most of our junior bowlers do, she grew
tired of the game and gave it up for a few years. She then decided to give it
another go after an absence of a few years and joined her mother's team at
Fairfield Lanes. It wasn't too long before you noticed her name on the honor
board each week for her superb bowling scores. For the past four years she
has carried an average of 190 plus. Her high game has been a 278 and her
highest series was a 698. She was picked to represent FAIRFIELD LANES as a
member of the GREATER HAMILTON BOWLING COUNCIL'S ALL STAR team this past year
(1994-95).
Her average fell a little this past year due to an injury to her bowling arm
and the fact that she is pregnant helped in that drop also. But we all still
feel that VAUNDA VILLAREAL truly fits the description of SUPERIOR
PERFORMANCE.
