Genealogies of several Jamaican Jewish Families plus mentions of man other Jamaican Families. 3. "Letters to Jane from Jamaica 1788-1796" edited by Geraldine Mozley, published (no date) by the West India Committee for the Institute of Jamaica. An interesting collection of letters dealing with the family of Dr. Francis Rigby Brodbelt of Spanish Town, Jamaica. Contains short biographies of the Brodbelt family and a pedigree for "Penoyre of the Moor", Cliffor, Herefordshire. (Mrs. Brodbelt was Ann Gardener Penoyre, Daughter of Thomas and Sarah ((Nee Gardener)) Penoyre of Spanish Town, Jamaica. 4. "Jamaica in 1896 - A handbook of Information for Intending Settlers and Others" by Frank Cundall, published by the Institute of Jamaica. A compendium of information on Jamaica. Contains several interesting lists including:- The Official List, List of Foreign Consuls, Institutions with Secretaries names, Hotels, Lodging Houses and Livery Stables with names of Owners/managers, List of Schools with Principals. A list of Newspapers with Editors. A very interesting list of 17 Plantations particpating in a scheme organized by the Institute of Jamaica called "Articled Pupils in Farming and Planting", which set about encouraging young men to be instructed in Agriculture as Articled Clerks to the Owner/Overseer of the plantation.
